My name is Cat Harner, and I’m an on-th-go, mother of four. I enjoy sharing an active lifestyle with my husband and four littles; ages 9, 7, 5, and 2. I started Strolling Like a Mother® with a close mommy friend, Stacey Dunn, in 2013. What started as two moms with two kids each grew into a tribe of women and children supporting and encouraging each other to be the best version of themselves, and for this I am very grateful.

Fitness has always been very important to me and I continue to make it a priority in my life, especially after entering motherhood. Having four kids does change how I exercise and prioritize, and for me, it makes all the difference in managing a stressful day. I continue to strive to be the strongest version of myself, spiritually, mentally, and physically. I am a Christian, I am a mother, and I am an athlete-age and situation won’t change that.

Before officially starting SLAM, I became a certified personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) in 2013. I have coached high school and youth soccer for 11 years, as well as middle school basketball, volleyball, track, and cross country. I love incorporating what I have learned from the time  I spent coaching young athletes, as I feel variety and play are important to keep fitness fun and functional. (We exercise to be fit, but also to keep up with our little ones!) I taught Government and Economics at an alternative high school and have my Masters Degree in education, but my passion is helping mom work towards their full potential.  Age is just a number and kids aren’t an excuse, they are a reason!!
